Indian business visa requirements

• Passport requirements: Original passport valid for 190 days beyond stay, with at least 2 blank visa pages available.* see special notes
• One (1) completed and signed application form. PLEASE PRINT PAGES BACK TO BACK  USING ONE PIECE OF PAPER Original signature in blue or black ink ONLY.
• One (1) recent colour photos: Photos should be approximately 3.5 x 3.5cm , taken on a light coloured background with no sunglasses or hats. Photo must include both head and shoulders.
• Invitation letter: The invite must be issued from the company or sponsor in India and should include contact details of the inviter and outline in detail the purpose for the trip. The letter should stipulate the type of visa ie. Business or Employment, conference etc. and include the full name of the person being invited, his/her designation in the company and proposed date of arrival and length of stay.
• Business letter: The business letter should include the traveller’s name, nature of applicant’s business, probable duration of stay, and the places and firms in India to be visited and a detailed outline of purpose of travel and stipulate the type of visa required. The company must state that they will take financial and medical responsibility for the traveller. If a multiple entry visa is required, this fact must be stated and explained clearly in the letter.

• Service order form (SOF): This is an EmbassyLink’s service order form, please include a copy of this form with all other supporting documents.
• Special Notes: Canadian citizens of Indian origin will be required to submit their cancelled Indian passport or a copy.If cancelled Indian passport is not available, a declaration/affidavit must be obtained from a notary or lawyer declaring under oath that they no longer hold Indian citizenship. The original affidavit and a NOTARIZED copy of their citizenship certificate should be included with the visa application request. 2 -5 year visas are only available to persons of Indian origin and are at the discretion of the Consul. If a child is travelling with only one parent, a “letter of no objection” from the other parent is required, or both parents should sign the child’s visa application.Non canadian must complete an extra form. Page 4 of the passport must be completed in ink with passport holders address and name and contact details of a person to be contacted in an emergency. If your passport was issued out of province or overseas. kindly include documentation that proves residency in a province that falls under Vancouver’s jurisdication.
• If attending business meetings please attach either an agenda of the topics to be discussed at the meetings or specific details about the topics to be discussed at the meeting.
