China tourist visa requirements

• Passport requirements: Original passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond stay, with at least two/three blank visa page available
• One (1) completed and signed application form: Original signature in blue or black ink only. All questions must be answered
• One (1) recent colour photo: Photos should be 48mm x 33mm taken on a light coloured background with no sunglasses , hats or headgear
• Itinerary- must have name of traveller and list entry and exit from China
• Invitation letter from friend or family OR Hotel booking OR tour confirmation from the tour operator.
• Service request form (SOF): This is EmbassyLink’s Service Order Form. You must include a copy of this form with all other supporting documents
• **Special Notes:**
• Religious personages and media personnel need to declare that they shall not engage in any activities relating to religion and news reporting during the period in China in Section 5 of the application form.
• Applicants applying for special tours to China should provide a visa notification issued by China National Tourism Administration or the tourism administration of related province, autonomous region or municipality directly under the Central Government. Special tours includes self-driving, hiking, cycling, horse-riding, camel-riding, aerial photographing, photographing, exploration, hot air balloon, or other expeditions. If applicants intend to climb mountains, please provide visa notification issued by the General Administration of Sport of China. Applicants who plan to mountaineer in Tibet should provide approved visa notification by Tibet Autonomous Region.
