China crew visa requirements

  •  Passport requirements: Original passport valid for at least six (6) months beyond stay, with at least2 to 3 blank visa pages available. Multiple entry one year visas require the passport to be valid for fourteen (14) months beyond stay
  • One (1) completed and signed application form: Original signature in blue or black ink only. All questions must be answered
  • One (1) recent colour photo: Photos should be 48mm  x 33mm taken on a light coloured background with no sunglasses , hats or headgear
  • Business letter: Letter from employer (i.e. airline) or sponsoring company, on company letterhead, introducing the applicant, indicating the applicant’s employment status/position held in the company, employee number, and clearly stating that the applicant requires a visa as a crew member. Applicants requesting a multiple entry visa to China must provide a letter stating the need for a multiple entry visa and the dates of future travel to the country.
  • Original employee/crew ID: and a list of all crew members
  • Service request form (SOF): This is EmbassyLink’s Service Order Form. You must include a copy of this form with all other supporting documents.
  • Special Notes: Vancouver Consulate: Double entry visas will only be issued to travellers who have had a previous China visa. Multiple entry visas will only be issued to travellers who have held a previous double or multiple entry visa. If your previous visa is in an expired passport kindly also include this passport with your application
