Brazil tourist visa requirements
- Passport requirements: Original passport valid for at least six months, signed in designated place with at least 1 blank page
- One (1) completed online application form: Kindly print the receipt and sign inside the box.
- One (1) recent colour photo (scanned photos not acceptable) Photo should be 2″ x 2″ with a white or light coloured background, neutral expression with mouth closed and no hats or sunglasses .
- Photocopy of round trip ticket to Brazil, OR a copy of itinerary on a Travel Agents company letterhead. For cruises; a copy of the cruise itinerary with the name of the ship and dates of arrival and departure. Confirmation of payment issued by the cruise line.
- For conference: Copy of receipt for conference, or invite or information on the conference.
- Proof of financial means – Letter from employer stating your name, current position + payslip AND either a copy of a recent bank statements or a copy of your last tax assessemt
- Proof of financial means self employed – copy of business registration and tax assessment
- Proof of financial means retired applicants: you don’t need to provide proof of employment but proof of income is still required, such as a copy of your latest bank statement and your tax assessment.
- Proof of financial means unemployed applicants: provide a letter explaining it and a copy of your bank statement and last tax assessment.
- Proof of financial means homemaker – copy of bank statement or notarized letter from spouse stating that he will be responsible for the homemaker during the trip. A copy of their bank statement or tax assessment should be included as well.
- Personal letter: Independent travellers should provide a cover letter detailing their proposed plans whilst visiting Brazil. This letter should be addressed to the Consulate
- Invite letter if not staying in a hotel: If visiting friends or family, the invite letter from the host must be included, with a copy of their status in Brazil ie. Brazilian ID
