As of 19th September a native Russian speaker is now available to assist with Russian visas. She is available Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 – 1.00 (Pacific time) or by appointment. Please call 604-443-5076 for further information.

Changes in SAUDI VISA processing

As of 01 Sept 2011, the processing time for a visa will be between 35 and 40 business at the Embassy. This time does NOT include courier time to or from the Embassy. Please plan your travel arrangements accordingly.

Russian Visas Ottawa

EmbassyLink in Vancouver has been authorized to receive Russian visa applications on behalf of the Russian Embassy in Ottawa. Their jurisdiction covers British Columbia, Yukon and Northwest Territories, Ottawa (area codes 613 and 819), Nova Scotia, Nynavut, New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Labrador and PEI. The Consular section of the Russian Embassy in Ottawa will no longer accept applications submitted by couriered, mailed or delivered by third parties expect through one of their authorized agents as listed on their website. Applications made IN PERSON to the consulate in Ottawa are at the present time still accepted.

Residents who reside in Ontario (excluding Ottawa), Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan can submit their applications to either our Vancouver or Ottawa office ( Lewis, Bridges & Dupont) and we will submit them to the Consulate in Toronto.

Residents who reside in Quebec can submit their applications to our office in Montreal (SIAT Consular Services  Tel:514 504 2110)

NEXUS is a joint program with Canadian Border Services and the USA.  Nexus provides expedited passage into Canada or the USA  by air, land and marine modes of Travel. A NEXUS membership card also fulfills the travel document requirements of the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) that requires a Passport or other secure travel document by all US and Canadian citizens.

The card can be used at 19 border crossing locations and 8 Canadian pre-clearance locations with kiosks at the following airports:

Vancouver international; Toronto Pearson International; Ottawa McDonald Cartier international, Montreal Pierre Trudeau International; Halifax International; Calgary International; Edmonton International and Winnigpeg International.

Canada imposes a visa on the Czech Republic

Ottawa, July 13, 2009 —Beginning 12:01 a.m. EDT on July 14, 2009, Czech nationals will require a visa to travel to Canada, Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism Minister Jason Kenney announced today. For the first 48 hours, Czech citizens may apply for entry on arrival in Canada. After 11:59 p.m. EDT July 15, 2009, a visa will be required.
